Hardware design

Products that don't exist on the market, designed for your case

Since our early projects with the University of Granada, we have continued to research and innovate in hardware design, for companies and research groups looking for custom solutions that off-the-shelf products cannot provide.

We specialise in the design and assembly of electronic circuits. We start from your requirements, develop all the hardware, software and firmware components and finish with the verification and validation of the design. The result is equipment that is tailored and up to date, without the risk of it quickly becoming obsolete.

Capabilities

Electronics, communications and identification

One team for electronics, firmware and software: fewer points of contact and fewer integration problems.

Custom electronics and firmware

Design and assembly of electronic circuits, firmware and control software for products that do not exist on the market.

Prototyping

Working prototypes with 3D-printed industrial design so you can check the result before manufacturing.

IoT and sensors

Connected devices that measure, transmit and act remotely, using the communication technology that best suits each installation.

RFID and biometrics

RFID or Mifare card identification, fingerprint recognition and electronic locks integrated into your system.

Readers and kiosks

Spanish electronic ID card (DNIe) and smart card readers, and self-service kiosks with electronics and software designed in-house.

Home and building automation

Custom components and hardware for building control and energy efficiency installations and projects.

Sectors

Custom electronics for public administrations, businesses and research

Public authorities

Supplies of our own design: remote control, signalling, readers and kiosks for public-facing services.

Industry

Process control (temperature, pressure, gas injection, motors) and electronic verification equipment.

Universities and research

Custom instrumentation and equipment for research groups that cannot find what they need on the market.

Buildings

Home automation, building automation and distributed control for energy efficiency.

Remote control

Remote units for municipal infrastructure and services

We design equipment that works far away, with little supervision and limited communications, and that must keep working for years after installation.

Remote control of water networks

Remote terminal units for water supply networks: reading sensors and meters, operating equipment and sending alarms and data to the control centre.

Traffic lights and signalling

Electronics and control for traffic lights and signalling elements, adapted to the needs of each installation.

Communications for remote control

As early as 2014 we developed Telerel, our own GSM/GPRS communications system for remote control, which forms the basis of our remote units.

M2M communications we work with

  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • Zigbee

Process

From idea to installed device

  1. Requirements and feasibility

We gather the necessary information and, if needed, draw up a feasibility plan.

  2. Design

Electronics, firmware and software, designed with the end user in mind.

  3. Prototype

Working prototype with 3D-printed industrial design.

  4. Verification and validation

Prototype trials, testing and design validation.

  5. Production and CE marking

Manufacturing, certification and CE marking of the approved product.

  6. Installation and maintenance

We commission the device and maintain it.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about hardware design

What do I need to commission a custom hardware design?

All you need is a clear idea of the problem you want to solve. We gather the requirements with you and, when the project calls for it, draw up a technical and economic feasibility plan before starting the design.

Do you also handle manufacturing and CE marking?

Yes. Once the prototype is finished and approved, we can take care of production, certification and CE marking of the product.

Do you also develop the software and firmware?

Yes. We design the electronics, program the firmware and develop the management application, so everything fits together without adapters. See our custom software development service.

What communication technologies do you use?

We work with M2M wireless communications such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, GPRS and GPS, as well as wired TCP/IP networks. We choose the technology according to range, power consumption and available coverage.

Do you work with research groups?

Yes. We offer hardware design both to companies and to research groups looking for custom solutions that off-the-shelf products cannot provide. We started out as a Junior Enterprise of the University of Granada and continue to collaborate with it on R&D&I projects.

Need a device you can't find on the market?

Tell us what you want to measure, control or identify and we'll study its feasibility with you.
